Letter from Rabbi Sussman
Dear Friends,
We are delighted to learn of your interest in Keneseth Israel. KI has served the Philadelphia Jewish community with distinction since 1847. Our warm, caring community offers many different worship opportunities, extensive educational opportunities for all ages, active social action and outreach programs and much more.
KI offers a liberal interpretation of the Jewish tradition while remaining respectful of the tradition. We understand that every person and each family is unique in its needs and interests. We hope you will find KI to be your spiritual home.
We are thrilled that you are considering becoming part of our congregational family. We will do everything we can to make our synagogue yours and to make your experiences here meaningful and enriching.
The KI rabbinic staff is here to serve you. Our highest responsibility is to be with your family in times of joy and times of need. We encourage you to make an appointment to meet with us so that we can get to know you and you can get to know us!
I hope and pray that as a future member you will receive the spiritual nurturing you seek and help to build the future of our wonderful religious heritage.
Warmly,
Rabbi Lance J. Sussman, Ph.D.
"We will do everything we can to make our synagogue yours and to make your experiences here meaningful."
