The next scheduled Meyers Library Adult Book Discussion Group will take place via zoom on Wednesday January 27 at 1 pm.  We will be discussing “A Ceiling Made of Eggshells” by Gail Carson Levine.  This is a Young Adult (YA) title with a very strong female protagonist named Loma. The story is set in Spain just before and during the Inquisition. Loma’s grandfather invites her to travel with him on his business travels throughout Spain. She meets Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand and learns how dangerous the world is for Jews. She sacrifices her personal life for service to the Jewish people.
I am sure that this will be an interesting book to discuss.
