Thursday, August 12 11:30 a.m. ~ JAZZ AND THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT with BOB CHANIN: This presentation is a brief overview of the Civil Rights movement in America. It is intended to highlight the milestone events of the movement. This presentation will also address how and what my favorite Jazz artists did in the context of the Civil Rights Movement. Bob Chanin earned a BSc at Saint Joseph’s College and additional hours in Drexel and Saint Joseph’s MBA programs. I worked for the City of Phila.as a Construction Engineer until my retirement in 1995 and at a variety of jobs since then. As a REAP member I have developed and presented 3 other talks.
