60. Friday September 16th - November 30, 2017
Exhibition:
"As You Teach, You Learn." ~~ Midrash Tehillim
The Stained Glass Project

This exhibition featured The Stained Glass Project: Windows That Open Doors, a nationally recognized, award winning all volunteer after school art program now in its 11th year.

Philadelphia high school students learn their craft in a collaborative workshop setting under the supervision of a team of professional artists.  Working closely with their adult mentors students gain the skills to design and fabricate unique and challenging works of glass art. The stained glass panels of "As You Teach You Learn" will eventually decorate a school in Uganda, as all the glass art made by the student artists is donated to schools and institutions world-wide.  Also on exhibition were preparatory sketches and photo documentation of the workshop in action.
