Rabbi Regev heads an educational and advocacy Israel-Diaspora partnership, “Hiddush – For Freedom of Religion and Equality”, which works both in Israel and in the US.

For seven years he served as president of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, a global umbrella organization of the Progressive, Reform, Liberal and Reconstructionist movements, serving more than 1,200 congregations and communities in 42 countries on six continents.

Prior to that he founded and headed the Israel Religious Action Center, the advocacy arm of the Israeli Reform Movement.
