Join us as we discuss Becoming Madam Secretary by Stephanie Dray
Nrw Yerk Time Bestselling Author of THE WOMEN OF CHATEAU LAFAYETTE The novel follows real-life heroine Frances Perkins, who arrives in New York City in the early 1900s with an unyielding determination to make a difference. When she’s not working with children in crowded tenements, Frances throws herself into the Greenwich Village social scene and eventually meets a young lawyer named Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Neither knows it yet, but they will form a historic partnership that carries them to the White House, where Frances is destined to rise in a political world dominated by men, even as she struggles to balance the demands of a public career with marriage and motherhood.
