OPERA SINGERS AND CANTORS: WHO HAS MORE FUN?

In the twentieth century, opera singers became superstars and sensations.
So did many Cantors! The two professions share many attributes, and also
many major differences.
This presentation will look at the music of great opera singers and great
Cantors/Hazzanim to learn what these two giant disciplines share and in
what ways they differ.
Of course, there are so many opera singers who sang Cantorial music, and
many Cantors who sampled the fruits of the opera stage.
Let us look and listen to several giant artists in both categories to learn
what these professions bring to the Jewish community and beyond.
