Music Arts is entering our 27th season! Our Music Arts Program is an invitation to the greater community to experience the joy of music. The Music Arts Community Family Concert Series has presented classical, crossover "grassical," opera, children's concerts, Broadway/American Songbook, and cabaret concerts. Music Arts presents a passionate love of classical and Broadway music, along with a desire to bring world class quality concerts to our community.

The KI Music Arts Program helps young, gifted artists in the dawn of their careers by offering them a beautiful venue in which to play, and appreciative audiences. The Music Arts program also presents established artists who are gracious in accepting our invitation to play in our concert series. KI presented world renown pianist Yuja Wang in her first five concerts in the U.S. and then five more times until 2014. We introduced Time for Three,  in their first public appearances, and for 5 years thereafter, while they were managed by co-chair Bob Bildersee. TF3 now plays with orchestras around the world; in 2023 they won 2 Grammy awards. We have presented such notable world class artists as: Gary Graffman 5 times, Pinchas Zukerman and the Zukerman Chamber Players, Gil and Orli Shaham, Jonathan Biss and Miriam Freid, violinist Ray Chen  (who won the Queen Elisabeth violin Competition in Brussels Belgium in 2009) 8 times, Jennifer Koh 2 times, pianist Roman Rabinovich, Leila Josefowicz;  Shai Wosner, Stefan Jackiw, and many more artists. We presented established Metropolitan Opera Stars Angela Meade and Michael Fabbiano.  We introduced and presented Dominic Armstrong (5 times) and his wife, Ashley Emerson from the Metropolitan Opera,  Meredith Arwady, Karen Slack, J’nai Bridges, and Jared Ott, while they were students at Curtis Institute. We’ve presented cabaret star Karen Akers 4 times. We also partner with Opera Philadelphia. We have presented world class pianist Haochen Zhang 9 times, every year since 2009, in preparation for and then after,  winning the International Van Cliburn Competition as the youngest pianist (age 19) to ever win the Cliburn.

Our concerts are appropriate for all ages. In trying to introduce young audiences to classical music, we offer free tickets to our regular concerts to students through age 23.

Volunteers are always needed to help plan, publicize, produce and run musical and related dining events at KI. If you want to sponsor a program – in honor of a relative or friend, in recognition of a special event, or in memory of a loved one – the cost is modest and the community benefit is great. If you are a business leader who wants to sponsor a program in the name of your business, with all of the attendant publicity, KI encourages you to become a program sponsor.
