An Installation by Michele Brody*

ENTERING FROM THE INSIDE: A Documentary Film by Michele Brody of the project

DESCRIPTION: The essence of Michele Brody’s work is the exploration of how we live with the constant flux of our environment. On the exterior grounds, and in the Museum gallery, Ms. Brody has created an installation that will change the way visitors to the Museum see and think about the space and its historic namesake, Congregation Temple Judea. The goal of Entering from the Inside is to use art to engage the multi-ethnic communities that geographically encompass the Museum and the old site of Temple Judea, most recently The Ivy Leaf School, in order to build bridges of understanding.

*Ms. Brody’s project is funded by:

Artists & Communities, a program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, made possible by major funding from John & Johnson, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Heinz Endowments, the William Penn Foundation and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA)

5-County Arts Fund: A Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts program of the PCA, a state agency. It is funded by the citizens of Pennsylvania through an annual legislative appropriation, and administered locally by GPCA. PCA is supported by the NEA, a federal agency; by PECO; and Montgomery County
