Monday, March 7 10:30 a.m./ BLACK HISTORY PAST AND PRESENT MARY TALLEY It is my hope that my presentation, “Black History, Past and Present, Pros and Cons,” will provide information that brings a better understanding of past and present contributions that African Americans have made to our country. Mary Johnson Talley is a native of West Virginia. She received a Bachelors of Social Work and a Masters of Social Work from West Virginia University and a Masters of Human Services with a Specialty in Criminal Justice from Capella University. Mary has worked as a Federal Correctional Officer, a Probation Officer, and a Social Worker. Upon her retirement in 2014, Mary received the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Philadelphia Prison System. As a REAP member, she has presented three talks to REAP.
