Healing service for Our Country, Our Community and our Rabbi.
On the eve of the election and Rabbi Sussman’s surgery, we are hosting a Healing Service at 7:00 p.m. tonight. We pray for healing, this is the time for our KI family to come together, to be strong, and to be the light that we as a community have always been.
Join me for a service of strength and healing, tonight at 7 p.m. on Zoom as well as our StreamSpot & Facebook.
Bring an open heart and spirit as we pray for the healing of our rabbi, our community, our families and our country. Let us come together to be there for each other in the spirit of peace, to connect with the divine and to find hope. Prayer softens the divides, prayer lifts our spirits, and healing comes from voices joining together. Prayers and readings will be led by myself, Hazzan Tilman, Ross M. Levy, Janice Schwartz-Donahue, Cantorial Student Sierra Fox, KI Student Naomi Guth, and members of our Social Justice Committee and Religious Practices Committee.
Within our own community, many of us are feeling a divide over differences of opinion and there may be challenging moments ahead. Your planned vote conveys your hopes and dreams for the future. Remember we are all connected and love is stronger than hate; keep yourselves close to those you care about. We at KI are a family, and I know within prayer, our heritage, and our teachings there is always a path to pursue peace. May we all be a blessing of hope, healing and love.
Our hearts are with Rabbi Sussman and his family right now, as he prepares for his bypass surgery tomorrow to address his heart condition
