Monday, November 15 a.m./ NABUCCO with  BAILA MILLER~  Nabucco is an Italian-language opera composed in 1841 by Giuseppe Verdi. It tells the story of the Israelites as they are assaulted, conquered, and subsequently exiled from their homeland to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar II. The bestknown number from the opera is the “Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, “Va, pensiero, sull’ali dorate” (Fly, Thoughts, on Golden Wings). Verdi said, “This is the opera with which my artistic career really began. It was born under a lucky star.”
