This week, Rabbi Lance J. Sussman, Ph.D. will be joined by artist Marlene Adler, see below!

Featured Artist: Marlene D’Orazio Adler

Raised and educated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marlene studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Painting. She also holds a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of the Arts. Her thesis was Addressing Environmental Issues in an Art Curriculum. Marlene is a multi-media artist with a focus on printmaking and paper-making. Judaica art is one of her interests and because of her spiritually it has always felt natural for her to incorporate Judaic symbols and Hebrew text in her work. She likes to consider herself a storyteller because her work often conveys world issues connected to humanity and the environment. This part of her creative expression can be attributed to the teacher within and her work as an art educator. She has been a member of KI since 2001.
