Dear KI Congregants,
Thank you for your generous support over the years! Your demonstrations of faith in the strength of Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel and its future have allowed us to serve our community in so many ways and remain a beacon of education, social action, communal engagement and more.
Over the past few years, KI staff, lay leadership, and clergy have met the challenges of a pandemic with compassion and resolve. We made sure to offer opportunities for congregants to worship, commune, celebrate, mourn, and serve those in need including the hungry and lonely. We remained connected with members through thousands of phone calls, Zoom meetings, streaming, and outdoor events.
As the New Year 5783 begins, we turn to you, our congregants, and ask again for your support. The High Holy Day appeal is always an important piece of our annual operating budget. It will fill the revenue gap caused by the pandemic and helps to mitigate the lost revenue from those who cannot afford the full membership commitment. It allows us to reach our diverse membership through a vast array of pastoral care and programming. It inspires us to dream big and build the KI of the future.
Thank you for considering a generous High Holy Day Appeal gift to keep KI financially strong. For those of you who give annually, thank you and please consider increasing your gift during these difficult times. For those who have not given previously, now is the time to step up and help. We appreciate your thoughtful contributions!
We are creating tomorrow together. You can make 5783 another great year at KI.
We wish you a happy and healthy new year.
L’Shana Tova,
Rabbi Benjamin David
Andrew Altman, President
P.S. We fully appreciate that you make charitable giving choices every day, and we hope you see KI as not just another charity but as your Reform Jewish home. Thank you for your value-driven gift today.
