While we have many upper school teens who are familiar with PAR, we have a large community that are not. Here's a small description of NFTY-PAR: Our region is called PAR (Pennsylvania Area Region). Teens from all over PA come together several times a year. NFTY-PAR has always been an amazing way to connect to others outside of our synagogue and make life-long friends. Programs, mixers, services, social action, social justice, leadership and fun activities have been the cornerstone of NFTY PAR. It was always tremendous and we hope to continue down the pre-covid path. If you want extra information, you can read a little about PAR at https://www.facebook.com/nftypar/
Over the past few months, a group of teen leaders has been working on the first in-person, North American-wide teen gathering in 2.5 years. We are so excited to be bringing together teens from every part of our movement to learn and have fun for a weekend at URJ Camp OSRUI.
The Collab is shorthand for the URJ Teen Leadership Collaborative: A teen-powered community-driven training retreat. We are looking for teens who
  • Want to build tight-knit friendships with people from across North America in just 3 days
  • Have strong leadership potential
  • Represent the diversity of identities and experiences of Reform Jews
  • Care about the future of Reform Judaism
  • Want to build the future of the Reform Jewish Youth Movement
If this sounds like you or a stellar high schooler you know, you can get more information and register here. You can also share the names and emails of teens who are a great fit with Lauren Stock, our staff organizer working with the teen leadership planning the event.
