Eternal One our God,
We join together in prayer for our country.
Help us to be strong at this dangerous moment of infamy.
Strengthen our resolve to uphold our democratic principles even as they come under violent assault.
Teach us the true meaning of freedom and protect us from insurrection and sedition.
Help us to remember the ideals of our founders and the sacrifices made by the thousands who died in their defense.
Protect all those who protect us and instill in our leaders wisdom, courage and reason.
We pray this terrible moment will pass quickly and with minimal damage to property or loss of life.
May peace, order and law be restored in our Capital, throughout our country and in our hearts.
