Keneseth Israel (KI) invites our members and community to join together in a peaceful vigil. Sunday, June 7th, 4:00 PM

Join us in solidarity with the Abington Friends Meeting and other faith-based organizations holding peaceful protests and vigils in memory of George Floyd and all other people of color who have been killed simply because of the pigment of their skin. Please meet up with Cantor Levy & Andrew Altman in front of our “Love Your Neighbor As Yourself” billboard at the corner of Old York Road and Township Line Road.
Sounding the shofar is Jeff Miller, joined by violinist Phil Kates, and Ross M. Levy on guitar. We will then spread out along the Old York Road sidewalk in front of the KI “Love your Neighbor As Yourself” pillars. We will have a moment of healing prayer and 9 minutes of silence. Please join us either on Facebook Live from your homes, or with masks and socially distanced in front of our building.
At the event, we will also be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items for distribution to people with food insecurity.
