JRA needs voulnteers for Rosh Hashanah!

Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) is seeking volunteers to assist with packing and delivering boxes of food and critical household goods to families in need in our community ahead of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, JRA re-engineered our program model to allow individuals and families to volunteer with us safely and keep our recipients safe as well. Masks continue to be required inside of our warehouse, Covid-19 screenings are filled out by everyone volunteering inside, and volunteer capacity is monitored closely. Kol Yisrael arevim zeh la-zeh, (All Jews are responsible for one another), rings loudly as we think about the families in need of food this Jewish new year. During JRA’s Rosh Hashanah Food Distribution, individuals and families can sign up to pack boxes of food, participate in our JRA Juniors hour, which is a reserved hour for families with children under age 12, and/or deliver food to members of our community. The Food Distribution schedule is as follows:
Thursday, August 12th
Food box packing (10 AM – 12 PM)
Friday, August 13th
Food box packing (10 AM – 12 PM)
Sunday, August 15th
JRA Juniors (9 AM – 10 AM)
All ages packing (10 AM – 11:30 AM)
Delivery pick-ups (9 AM – 2 PM)
Monday, August 16th
Delivery pick-ups (9 AM – 2 PM)
Tuesday, August 17th
Delivery pick-ups (9 AM – 2 PM)
